Hi, everyone!
You did it! Stretch Goal #3 is unlocked, and the book will now have the cool, fancy-pants, hoity-toity cover flaps. :)
And I couldn't be happier!
I'm not sure how far we can go in the next 25 hours or so, but I've added a couple more Stretch Goals. If we hit $14,000, all backers will get a 4"x6" postcard (digital backers will get a digital version of it), and if we hit $15,000, we'll be able to add spot-gloss to the book's cover (the shot of Lucy holding the flash drive will be glossy). Sorry, digital backers, there's no way to do a digital version of this.
However, if we hit 350 backers, the digital sketchbook that all backers are getting will be expanded to 24-pages!

Stretch Goal Unlocked: Sticker!

Hi, everyone! Just a quick note to thank you again, and to let you know that we just unlocked our second Stretch Goal—the 3” circle ‘Apprehended’ sticker! I’ll post this to the Kickstarter page tomorrow, but I’m thinking our next Stretch Goal ($13,000) will be French flaps:
I’d originally planned these as a $20K Stretch Goal, but let’s just got for it now!

Hey, everyone!
Thanks so much for supporting The Catch! We just unlocked our first Stretch Goal (the additional 6x9 print), and now we're on the way toward the 3" circle Apprehended sticker!
I'm so excited to have crossed this threshold! Part of the joy of crowdfunding a book is giving added value to the folks who support the book. Stuff like the Stretch Goals and the Backer Goals make it possible to give you more bang for your buck and to let you know just how much we appreciate your support of the book! Next up: the sticker!
I'd like to share a few campaigns that I've backed and think you'll enjoy, too! Please check these out:
James Powell's House of Fear is a fantastic all-ages series. The self-contained stories are evocative of EC Comics and the Goosebumps series. The campaign wraps on Thursday (the day after tomorrow), and I'd love to see him get it funded with room to spare.
Kevin Joseph and Ludovic Sallé's Tart is an intricately-written and beautifully-drawn time travel adventure. The campaign wraps soon, and you won't want to miss out!

New Stretch Goals and Backer Goals Added!

Thanks again for supporting The Catch!
Having reached our funding goal, and with over two weeks remaining, the fun begins! I've added some more Stretch Goals and Backer Goals. Let's have a look!
I showed you the 6x9 print last time, so here's a look at the Apprehended sticker (early backers will recognize it as a modified version of the Funded in 48 Hours sticker. What can I say? I like the image/design and really want to give these away!
I also added another Backer Goal.
If we hit 300 backers, all backers will receive a 16-page digital sketchbook. For those of you that backed Athena Voltaire and the Terror on the Orient Express, this will be 100% different material.

Weekend Update

Hi, everyone!
You did it! Your efforts carried the campaign across the goal line with nearly three weeks to spare!
One of my favorite parts of the last Athena Voltaire Kickstarter campaign was the Stretch Goals. I think I've posted before about how Stretch Goals frequently are about coming up with the cool kind of stuff that I'd like to get in other campaigns. It's really true: stickers, prints, and other stuff—the wackier, the better—is part of the fun that comes with crowdfunding.
I'm in the process of pricing stuff for our Stretch Goals, but right now, we're about $800 from our first Stretch Goal, a 6x9 print of the unused cover of this book (digital backers will get a digital version of it). And, as we get more backers, I'll be adding more Backer Goals, too.
