Hi, everyone!
Thanks so much for supporting THE CATCH! Because of you, we unlocked our first Backer Goal (audio commentary), and are on the verge of being fully funded, too!
There are a lot of excellent campaigns underway right now, and I need to share some with you on my next update (I’m typing this one from my iPad and the Kickstarter functionality isn’t great in iOS).
However, I’ll be talking with a bunch of pals and fellow comic creators on Kickstarter at 11:00 pm Eastern/10:00 Central tonight.

Quick clarification: The first Stretch Goal is at $11,000, not $1100 (it's not much of a Stretch Goal if it happens before reaching the actual goal, right?).
I was in a hurry to get that update out and left off a zero. Here's the correct graphic:

Wow! We're nearly 90% of the way to our goal—thanks so much for your support!
With our funding goal in sight, I thought it would be fun to start posting some Backer Goals and Stretch Goals. So here goes:
Honestly, part of the fun of a Kickstarter campaign is coming up with cool extras to include as Stretch Goals. I'd love it if we ended up with a bunch of prints, stickers, and other assorted swag!
And, if you're so inclined, please consider sharing the campaign link on your social media.

Thanks for backing The Catch Kickstarter!
As I type this, we're about 4 hours away from the 48-hour mark of the campaign, and we're off to a heck of a start!
I've posted this on social media and it's on the Kickstarter main page, too, but if we hit that funding goal by 1:00 pm central time today, all backers will get this cool 3" sticker (digital backers will get a digital version):
Here's a fun, nerdy fact about comic creators: Everything we do, as creators, is a reflection of the stuff that inspired us to make comics. Sure, sometimes it's filtered through the lens of personal experience, practical application, and other media...but at the core of every creator is a kid who feels giddy excitement over cool stuff.
Like stickers.
I remember collecting the Marvel sticker sets of the 1970s. There's a timeless thrill when you're peeling the back off a sticker, ready to affix a colorful image to a notebook, laptop, or <gulp> a wall (as a parent, I just shuddered).
So I want to make these stickers. For you, for me, and for the 9-year old inside all of use.
If you're inclined to spread the word on the campaign, it's much appreciated. Regardless, thanks so much for supporting The Catch!

Hi, everyone!
Thank you so much for backing THE CATCH volume 1! We’re about 10 hours into the campaign and nearly halfway there! I’m hoping we can reach the “Funded in 48 Hours” funding goal because I want to get that sticker made. (Fun fact: most of the Stretch Goal stuff and swag like this sticker are dreamt up because comic creators—like me—really want to make more cool stuff. It’s true.)
I’m stunned at the support we’ve had already, and I can’t wait to share this book with you. I have a busy day at my day job tomorrow, so I need to crash soon. I’ll post more tomorrow.
